Debian and the Quick Starter

Post by alamassepointcom »

Hello,

I'm using debian stable 2.14.3, with the Gnome environment. If the ooo quick starter is on, when I double click on a file in Nautilus (the gnome file explorer) then my file is opened, but behind Nautilus. If the quick starter is off, then no problem the file pops up in front of Nautilus. What can I do to change this?

Thanks for your help,

Matt

Sorry you never got an answer to your question. Were you able to find any solution?

No, no solution to date. I've since reinstalled Debian Stable, but am still having the exact same issue. When the quick starter is not active, no issues. But issue coming up as soon as I load the "systray quickstarter". So I prefer not loading it and waiting a few seconds, rather than having to click again to show up the file. The quickstarter is loosing here all its interest.

Good point. I've just learned to be a little patient when OOo starts the first time. After that, I just leave it running and new windows are fast enough after that.
