OpenOffice locks the document

i have an openoffice installed on a ubuntu 10.04 host , and a multiple users can access a document at same time phisically or over a network , so i need to lock the document if another one is opening it ,

as its state now if user is opening the document another users through network also can open it and append and do all operations ,

if is it clear . can anyone help me please ?

AOO/LO uses a lock file to protect itself from adulterated input/changes whilst it is open.

AFAIK, The first person to open a document has read & write access. ALL other 'connections/access' to the same document is read only.
