/home/user/%u not found when launched directly

Post by hyphz »

Hi,

After just installing a new version of OpenOffice on an Acer Aspire One running Linux, whenever OpenOffice is started directly it gives the message "/home/user/%u not found" and exits. If started by clicking on a file that it's associated with, it runs fine. It looks like some default value has been set incorrectly and/or a substitution that's supposed to happen hasn't. Can this be fixed?

On my Ubuntu 11.10, the properties for OpenOffice set in Other : Main Menu are
openoffice.org3 %U
and it starts up directly
and for each application
openoffice.org3-calc %U
with the application changed as appropriate.
