Headless - HTML to Odt conversion

Post by pepposole »

Hello guys
i got a problem with html to odt conversion.

I got an open office 3.2.1 headless server running on a Red Hat 5.4 32bit machine.

When i try to convert a simple html (just a table with 6 columns, no special effects) file to an odt one i get a really narrow table in the output file.

I got the same open office version running on my windows 7 machine (obviously ran in not-headless mode). When i open the html with sweb.exe, I obtain a correct sized table.
Same correct output file when i export it to an odt file.

I think it could be a locale problem (maybe different paper sizes?). Red hat server has en_US.UTF-8 by default, but even if i change it to it_IT the output table is still narrow.

the weirdest thing is that the pdf output is correct in both cases (red hat & windows).

Thank you in advance
OpenOffice 3.1 on Centos 5.3
