hi, i was trying to print a file in open office calc, and am planning to scale the table to fit one page (the file is is in .xls format) and set the page into landscape orientation. the problem is, the file does not recognize the left margin when printing (note, I have set the page settings and print setup already). i used an ubuntu 9.10 connected to an HP officejet 6000
please help.

Re: printing and margins
Hi and welcome to the forum!
Have you tried to export to PDF first? It will tell if the problem is with the OOo output itself or with the communication with the printer.
Do you use OOo or LibO BTW?

Re: Printing and margins
We need more information. Is the horizontal page utterly displaced on the printed page? If so, you need to adjust printer properties within /File /Print to use a horizontal page.

Re: Printing and margins
The page needs to be set horizontal in the Page Style, and the Printer Properties in /File / Print need to be set horizonatal.

Re: Printing and margins
Hi you can try Format>Page>Sheet>Scaling mode: choose fit print ranges to width/height. then go back to set landscape. Hope this helps! It took me whole night to figure this route out
