Hi,
Under Solaris, I am running StarOffice 7 and I selected Never Register and still it prompts me to selct again whether I want to or not.
Is there a way to disable this?
Under Windows (StarOffice 8) even though I select Never Register, it does not ask me again....
How can I do this under StarOffice 7 in Solaris 10 release 8/7?
Many thanks.

For the persistent registration screen, I have the following links:
http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic ... 545#106545

The solution seems to be to hack one of the files in your user settings folder. If you don't mind starting from scratch, you could rename the folder (after exiting all OO processes including the quick starter). I always answer by selecting the option "I have already registered" but I have never had this problem.
Where does Solaris store the user's files? That's where you should look for a file named something like '.openoffice.org2'

Its not OO. Its StarOffice 7.
Its also stored in the /export/home/username/staroffice
Should I reinstall this and choose ALREADY REGISTERED without entering my personal info?

Sorry, SO. There's no need to reinstall. If you look at the other threads, you'll see that you can hack a file in the settings folder. The other possibility is (as I've just done) to re-name your settings folder (in the 'home' location you mention) after closing all SO processes. I imagine it works the same as OO (and other software) and creates a new settings folder when re-starting. You don't have to nuke your whole settings folder, though, you can hack the guilty file if you're game.
