Has anyone tried to install OO on z/linux on the mainframe... suse 10 linux for system z ie z/linux
OR
is there a presentation program that works in this environment

Don't be surprised if the answer to your first question is "no".
Did you try? Did it not work? What happened?
Can z/Linux emulate a different hardware architecture? If not, you'll have to have an OOo built for that hardware, and I don't see anything close to that on the list of standard builds.
Have you looked at what IBM offers? They're developing their own OOo branch called "Symphony". Perhaps they have a build for the 390.
