Internal (menu) font size

Postby Agilar » Fri Dec 02, 2011 5:15 pm

How do I set the internal font size - the one which is used by the menus? Please find attached the screenshot. I'm on Kubuntu 11.10, I've deleted libreoffice-kde package (it crashed Zotero extension) - and get tiny fonts. It must be using some system font - in this case can You please walk me through a procedure of adjusting that font (I've set all font configs I could find to 14'th one).

Try turning on the "Use system font..." option, there on the "View" options tab you captured.

First of all - thanks for answer.

Though I found that "using system font" doesn't help - actually I tried that in the first place - and should have written about it in the initial post...

But increasing scaling does help a little bit - one can only increase up to 130%. See what I have now:

It is workable already. Thought I still wonder - the internal font must be specified somewhere - since libreoffice-kde package fixes that. I guess I'll wait for a week or something like that - and than put "SOLVED" tag.

Have you tried to install the vanilla version of LibO? Same process as here: [Ubuntu] Installing OOo on Debian and Co.

NB: I had embedded your first screenshot in your post to avoid linked pics (they may be deprecated in the future). Reducing the color depth is usually enough to go below the 128kB limit to upload a file here. The pic is resized in the post but just click it to see it at full scale.

I remember this issue from years ago. Try substituting fonts in the same section of 'Options' ('Fonts' instead of 'View'). IIRC the trick was to use an alternative for 'Andale mono'.

Or the system fonts perhaps.
