No Desktop integration in OOo 3.4

Postby Eb0la » Thu Nov 17, 2011 1:33 pm

Hi,

I've been trying to install OOo 3.4 beta on Ubuntu 11.10 but there is no desktop integration!

Should I uninstall OO 3.3 before ?

As far as I know, desktop integration is not provided in beta versions so that it can run in parallel with existing versions. It is a _beta_, therefore not recommended for production use.
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.7 on Xubuntu 18.04.4 (mostly 64 bit version) and very infrequently on Win2K/XP

Actually, I can't figure out how to launch 3.4 instead of 3.3

You've to create a launcher that points to the soffice script in the ooo/program folder.
You can also use Alacarte to create the menu shortcut.

Please add '[Solved]' at the beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.
AOO 4.1.7 on Xubuntu 20.04 and 4.1.5 on Windows 10 (with winPenPack port).
