[Solved] Dictionary

Post by rudecam »

Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using? 2.3
What Operating System (version) are you using? Ubuntu 7.10 - the Gutsy Gibbon

i went to the wizard to retreive the dictionary i need and installed it but it did not seem to have an effect. i even restarted the computer but still the spellchecker isn't working for me.

i still have to find the "quickstarter" (what is this?) in tools>options>language settings>writing aids...

can anybody help? thx

See here: [Tutorial] Spell check and Language configuration. Have you enabled the macros? Does it download the files?

I don't think the quickstarter is enabled in the Ubuntu version (but not sure) and it's located in Tools>Options>OOo>Memory.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.
