Change Directory Access on Chromebook

Post by rkymtnfamily »

I have installed OpenOffice on my Chromebook. I have all of my files on an SD card and want to work on my files from there. How to I change the default directory? I seem to only have the Local "Home" option.

You can change the default Save directory by /Tools /Options /OpenOffice /Paths :My Documents, but note: OpenOffice remembers the last directory to which you Saved, so you may need to navigate to the correct one if it is not automatically selected.

You should be very careful to observe the device removal protocol for the SD card, or you may lose one or more of your files.
