I am new to OpenOffice and the forums. I have downloaded OOo2.3.1 and created my own install CD. I installed OOo onto my Linux (RedHat EL5) system. OOo does not run due to a bug caught by SELinux.
I have looked around, and this bug was identified as long ago as last August. It was assigned issue #80816. The last reference to it I can find is dated 23 September, a rather unofficial looking pointer to a "temporary fix" with a promise that a bug patch would be forthcoming.
Has there been an official resolution to issue 80816? Is there a bugpatch forthcoming? Is OpenOffice.org content to let this stopper bug live in released code?

Seems to be targeted to 2.4 in few months. But I don't know if it's a robust deadline or if it'll be postponed.
LibreOffice 7.6.2.1 on Xubuntu 23.10 and 7.6.4.1 portable on Windows 10
