Icon bar

I have had a problem for a long time now. After about 30 minutes the icon bar starts to flasch. Have to restart OpenOffice.

Can you confirm this problem is with the icons on the toolbars in your OpenOffice application (you don't say whether Calc, Writer or other); or do you mean the Windows taskbar icons?

It´s in OpenOffice icon toolbar and in all applications.

Check the Automatic save option.
How many (and what size) files are open, when this happened?

I´ve done some tests in order to find out what happen with Icon toolbar:
1. Started Text-app. Nothing happens
2. Closing the Text-app
3. Started the Calc-app. After about 30 minutes Icon bar started to flash.
4. Closing the Calc-app
5. Started the Text-app and Calc-app (in that order). The Calc-app started to flash immediately.
It seems that the problem is the Calc-app. Calc-app contains 16 sheets. Maybe this is the problem?

Try the LibreOffice.
If the Calc of th LO is flashing too with your file, the maybe
- your PC is too slow to make the recalculations (not enough memory, slow processor, etc...)
- there are many running processes in the background ( Windows refresh and/or others) that slowener the PC
