I've been trying to reinstall openoffice on my pc (win10), but "An error occurred during registration of extensions". I see it's an old problem but I don't find any solution. I've been using openoffice for many years, on this same laptop. Recently, when I tried to use it, it didn't find the file, so I tried to reinstall, but that happened. Greetings and thanks.

Have you tried a search in the forum? According to one of the topics of this query, installing in the C: should do the trick.

Can you provide a screenshot of the error message? This might enable us to determine if the message is coming from OpenOffice or Windows.

Had an earlier version of OpenOffice been installed on the machine? If so, I'd rename the old OO user Profile.

Hi I have exactly the same problem. I used to have a previous version of OpenOffice installed on my laptop with Windows 10 but had uninstalled it. Now, each time I try to install by running the 4.1.5 setup wizard it halts with the same error message, then rolls back the installation when I hit ok on the error message. Did you get a resolution to your problem?

Anyone with an update on this one? I recently have got this error message on my working laptop. I noticed this error goes on until way back. This thread on this error seems to be unsolved.

Can anyone assist?
