OpenOffice Base and Java Run Time Error

I saw other post about the Java runtime environment is needed for Base, but it was for Java 7.x. The latest version available for download is below, however OpenOffice does not automatically recognize the installation of Java nor I can locate the right JRE file in any of the folder under Java to make it work. Can someone help? Thanks.

In Base, I clicked on Tools--> Options --> OpenOffice --> Java --> Add (don't know where to find the right java file).

You must install a 32 bit JRE for a 32 bit application (even on a 64 bit operating system).

To expand on Zizi4's comment, the Windows version of AOO is only available as a 32 bit application, so needs a 32 bit Java version; you can install both 32 and 64 bit versions of Java on the same system if the OS is 64 bit.
