[Solved] OpenOffice not in my Program Apps

I am trying to set openoffice as default and when I look in my Program Apps, I can't see it to select it.
See image uploaded to show you what programs are available and that openoffice is missing as a program.
You can see openoffice on my taskbar.

Did you scroll down the list? The list in the screen shot isn't scrolled down to where OpenOffice could actually be seen.

What is it called? I do not see openoffice or aooo see attached images showing all programs .

IIRC, it's just "OpenOffice" in the list (I no longer have Windows 10). If AOO has been installed but doesn't appear in the programs list, then the installation didn't actually complete. Run the installation again and select the "Repair" option. If it still doesn't appear on the list restart the computer. If it still doesn't appear, then you need to find out what on your system may be preventing the installer from updating the Windows Registry.

If OpenOffice installed correctly you shouldn't need to use Set Default Programs because during installation OpenOffice makes the connections to the file types it knows.
You can verify by going to Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs and select “Associate a file type or Protocol with a program”
You may need to scroll down to “Choose default apps by file type”
If the OpenOffice spreadsheet module is installed you should be able to scroll down the list and find .ods It should be associated with OpenOffice Calc. Likewise .odt should be associated with OpenOffice Writer. There are a number of other extensions that will also be associated with OpenOffice, and perhaps even .doc and .docx if you don't have another word processor installed.

I had my geek neighbor take a look and he was able to make it work. It could not be added to the program apps but he did it in a round-about way.
