[Solved] Downloading install file

Post by albertrjaso »

I am trying to download the latest version of openoffice install files on my new Acer Aspire T running windows 10, the part file downloads, but the executable is always 0KB and when I try and run it anyway the message says the installation will not run on my PC. Has anyone seen this issue?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Do you confirm you've downloaded from Sourceforge (link bottom right of the page)?
The file should be something like 150 or 250MB (don't remember exactly the size). First make sure that the download is complete. Your web browser should provide you this information.

For Windows, from memory, about 135MB.

Yes, that is the site I used. I have tried multiple times. I will try again, maybe I was too impatient, I am somewhat known for that. I will reply after I try again.

I feel pretty dumb. Impatience was the problem. I even saw that one of my previous downloads had actually also finished. I successfully installed it. Thanks for your help. I don't know how to mark this SOLVED.

I've done it for you.

In future, go to the first post in your thread and select the green tick, adding [Solved] at the start of the Subject line.
