[Solved] Unable to open OO
I have been using OO for several years. Currently using 4.1.4 version on Windows 10. I was on it this morning, closed it out, and when I tried to go back in from my desktop icon, nothing happens. I have tried going to the app, and clicking on open but still nothing. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. I have multiple documents and spreadsheets I can't afford to lose. Thank you

I suspect you have a hung process. Press the keys CTRL Shift ESC simultaneously. That will bring up the task manager. Look on the Details tab for processes called soffice.bin. Select each one and click End Task. You should be able to start OpenOffice after that.

Thank you FJCC. I had about 70 "open" files on OO after CTRL Shift ESC. I got thru about 1/2 of them, and it cleared up suddenly all the rest. Now everything back to normal.
