[Solved] Downloaded 4.1.5 as a .gz file

Hi, windows 10 Home

I downloaded OO 4.1.5 and a got a .gz file.
Any suggestions on how open the .gz file (any free applications available?

Download from https://openoffice.org/download/
Choose Windows (.exe) and your prefered language.
This will redirect you to sourceforge.net which hosts the install packages.

I agree with Villeroy - a .gz file is not for a Windows computer; use his advice.

I also concur with Villeroy and Rory,
In regards to the .gz file, I found this reference
OpenOffice 4.1.7, LibreOffice 7.0.1.2 on Windows 7 Pro, Ultimate & Windows 10 Home (2004)

gz is just a compressed format. Generally used for the sources.

The link at the bottom right of the forum pages will lead you to the download page. Note that there is no 64bit version for Windows. Install the Windows EXE version.

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the edit button if your issue has been fixed.
LibreOffice 7.6.2.1 on Xubuntu 23.10 and 7.6.4.1 portable on Windows 10
