[Solved] Cannot open my AOO files

I cannot open my open office files today.What canbe wrong.
I can open PDF files

What did you try so far? What steps?

What kind of computer are you using? Windows? Mac? Something else?

I have just tried clicking on them to open them as usual.
I am using windows.
Open office 4.1.2

First guess: Restart your computer and try again.

Can you open them by using the OpenOffice link off the Programs button?

No. I have also tried re-loading Open Office both the 4.1.2 and the 4.1.5 but I am unable to down load them as the message is - Interrupted before it could be installed.
I uninstalled adobe to see if the problem would also apply but I was able to down load and install without a problem.
There seems to be a complete block to open office.

Start TaskManager (Ctrl Shift Esc) and kill any soffice or openoffice processes shown as running on TM's tabs

Please put your operating system, including the version, in your signature. There are probably more that a dozen different versions of "Windows" which could have different problems.

Thank you for your help everyone. I tried everything to no avail. Then....
When I switched on this morning everything was back to normal.
I was even able to download 4.1.5
