[Solved] Apache OO Recovery Displays Multiple Panels & Hangs

Good Day,

Today I am 'stumped' by an issue with Apache OpenOffice (4.1.4) startup. Due to a WIN 10 system hang the computer was restarted manually. Attempts for OO starts the Recovery process then multiple Recovery panels are displayed. I click on OK, then Next on the first Recovery Panel while in the background a second Recovery Panel with a progress panel appears. The first recovery process completes successfully, however, the second set of pop-ups cannot be closed which renders Apache OO unavailable.

I have tried to stop/restart Apache OO process via Task Mgr - Restarts with the same issue
I have searched for a recovery.xcu - Not found

Please provide your assistance/advice in the situation if it has been seen in the past.

I doubt you will recover anything useful. On that assumption, when you are prompted to Recover, choose to cancel instead.

Thank you for the prompt reply. You are correct, the files in the Recovery path were 'scratch' files. Your recommendation has cleared the hanging recovery issue and Apache OO is operational again.
