Error 1704

Hi,

I'm installing the latest version of open office onto my mums laptop. I receive an error code (1704) and a message about changes that have been made by Microsoft C++. When I click to undo the changes it will not clear then stops the installation process. Can anyone please advise me on the action required to fix this.
