Which Version for Windows 10, Please.

Post by JoshEi »

Hello everyone and happy holidays! I have Windows 10 and I am not necessarily looking for the "newest features" of Open Office.

However, I do not want any security and failure problems as well an no problems with the OpenOffice software. I seem to remember there was an update button on the program.

So, my question is: What version do you recommend for me to download for my newer Windows 10 operating system?

One final note: I use this computer on the internet.

Appreciatively and Sincerely,

JoshE

I don't know of any reason not to use version 4.1.4, which is the latest release. A 4.1.5 version will be released in a few days but there is no reason to wait for that. I believe that for a Windows user the two version will be the same.

Also, is there any need to look at the checksum if it is downloaded from : https://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html

Thanks once again,

Opinions of this will vary, I guess. I never do a checksum when downloading from openoffice.org

I think maybe it is common sense, just wondering.
