[Solved] Printing Problems

I have always been able to print to my HP printer 4600 series from OpenOffice and suddenly I cannot. When I hit print in calc or writer the box shows my printer but when I hit Print nothing happens. I've Googled the problem but could find not help. Any suggestion? The printer works great from any other application.

Hi - Nothing would print from OpenOffice. I finally solved 'my' problem by uninstalling OpenOffice and resetting Windows 10. I'm pretty sure the problem was caused by Windows and not OpenOffice. Something got corrupted in Windows evidently and the reset fixed it. Thanks for your reply. Have a good one

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT THERE? I am not computer literate. All I can tell you is that I shut off my computer while away during Christmas. Everything with Open Office was fine until I returned and turned on my computer. I wanted to print my document and it wouldn't print. It said that Open Office did not have a printer connection. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? I have uninstalled, re-installed as well as the printer. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO?

PS: How will I know when I get a reply? HELP

Welcome to the forum.

It is a problem with Windows 10 which installs the wrong printer driver.

1. Go to the printer manufacturer web site and download the correct printer driver for your printer.
2. Install it.
