What Happened to Segoe Symbol and Segoe Emoji

I installed Apache Open Office 414 and there are no pictures in these fonts.

How do I reproduce the problem? I inserted a few "pictures" successfully in AOO Writer 4.1.4 from Segoe UI Emoji. Please upload a sample document that contains the problem characters.

If you're trying to use the Windows Character Map, it doesn't show the complete set of characters in Segoe UI Symbol or Segoe UI Emoji. In that case, install an extended character map like BabelMap or use Insert > Special Characters in Writer.
