OpenOffice on "D" drive

Post by wbcarroll »

Is there a way to install OpenOffice on a portable hard drive instead of the normal C drive?

There is.
Do you want to be able to use Open Office on any computer that you plug the portable hard drive into? If so, use a portable version from https://www.openoffice.org/porting/index.html
If you aren't going to be moving the drive and want to install it on the portable (secondary) hard drive, then use the Custom Installation option when running the install program.
NOTE: Some files, when using the second method will be installed to the C drive. I don't recall exactly which ones, but there are some.
