Hi All,
I started using open office recently, but after installation the programs (calc, text, drawing ..all) are showing wrong icons in the desktop. The icons are like simple white thump nail for all programs, but correct icons is showing in the task bar area. This makes it very difficult to identify the type of program when I want to open a file.
Please help me to fix this.
Many thanks
Sachin

There is not such Apache Openoffice version today. Are you using the LibreOffice or the AOO 4.1.3?Open Office 4.3.1

It seems as a default editor association problem. What filetypes are your documents on the attached picture? NAre they native ODF format or some other, foreign format documents (like the MS Office .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx ...)

Re: OpenOffice is not displaying any icons
Those are thumbnails, not icons. File Explorer in Windows 10 shows thumbnails by default if possible. If you want to show icons instead of thumbnails, open File Explorer. Click the View tab on the Ribbon. Click Options. On the Folder Options window, click View and check the option to always show icons.
If you want to show the thumbnails with an icon, leave the "Always show icons" option unchecked and check the option to "Display file icon on thumbnails".
