I am using Windows 7 with Openoffice 4.1.3. I have downloaded jre-8u131-windows-x64.exe . This is executing. The Openoffice still says that there is no Java rte. How do you fix this>

OpenOffice needs a 32 bit Java, even if your computer is 64 bit. Install the latest 32 bit and use the menu Tools -> Options -> OpenOffice -> Java to point Openoffice at it.
