Saving a file dilemma
Never had this problem before. When saving a Open Office Spreadsheet, it is now being saved as a pdf file and I'm unable to open said file, even though I'm saving it as odt, it just says "file." as the saved file

Re: Saving a file dilemma
Hi and welcome to the forum!
Make sure that the option "Automatic file extension" at the bottom of the Save as dialog is checked.
Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the edit button if your issue has been fixed.

Re: Saving a file dilemma
If you are saving a Calc (spreadsheet) file, you should save it as an ODF spreadsheet .ods.
Cheers

Re: Saving a file dilemma H.D. and Roble
Sorry it took so long to find my way back. And, thanks for the comments. I think the problem is solved {I'm also working from two different laptops} but perhaps I've lost my important document.
Unless there is a way to Recover it?
Can not figure out how that "Automatic File Extension" got unchecked.
Many thanks
