OOo 2.3.1 Post install issues

Hi,

I have recently upgraded 4 office machines to Oo 2.3.1. Unfortunatly im having a few teething problems & would like to know if anyone is having similar trouble.
The Four machines:-
1. Dual opteron 242 - 1gig ram - 256Mb Radeon 9800 and a silly amount of hard drive space & XP Pro Sp2.
2. Dell Dimension C521 - AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.3GHz - 2gig ram - 256Mb Radeon X1300Pro - 220gig Hdd - Vista Home Basic.
3. Dell XPS M2010 - Intel Core 2 T7200 2.0GHz - 1gig ram - 256Mb ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 - 120gig Hdd - Vista Business.
4. Dell Dimension 2400 P4 2.8Ghz - 256Mb ram - Onboard Graphics - 40gig Int Hdd + 500gig ext - XP Home Sp2.
All these machines are updated weekly with microsft update.

The problems:-
1. When trying to open a document the open window jumps back up the directory tree when you click on the file to open or the open button.
2. When closing Oo it crashes and wont close.

We also had a few problems with the previous release where it wouldnt open documents over a wireless network, but this has been solved by wiring the office up.

Please dont tell me that the only way to get rid of the bogey man is to get Billy Gates of my back and switch to linux, i would love to go tux everyday but i have office staff that struggle with windows so linux is out for now.

Have you tried to delete the OOo user profile (\Documents and settings\<user>\Application data\OpenOffice.org2) ?
If you open OOo first and try to open a file, does it work ?
