[Solved] AOO 4.1.3 intalls but Java missing

Postby amitmahajan74 » Fri Oct 21, 2016 10:59 am

Hi,

I am running OO 4.1.2 on Win10 system without any problems. Yesterday I got the update notice that new version is available for download OO 4.1.3. I downloaded the new version and installed it. After installing it and opening a base file form, it says Java not detected. I saw in Options, for Java, it does not show any Java version there. Tried to take the path manually, but it says Java not present at that path.
Finally, I uninstalled 4.1.3 and went back to 4.1.2 and surprisingly Java was detected there automatically and I was able to open forms as before.
Any ideas on OO 4.1.3.

Amit

Java version in use?

See this thread

Something to do with a three digit Java version identifier?
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.7 on Xubuntu 18.04.4 (mostly 64 bit version) and very infrequently on Win2K/XP

Java installed in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_111

Version 111, was working with OO 4.1.2 and after uninstalling 4.1.3 and installing 4.1.2 again, the same java version is working and getting detected in OO Tools, Options, Java

Go to Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update . Click the download button, select the vcredist_x86.exe file and download it. Run the downloaded file to install it. Restart AOO 4.1.3 and it should now find the Java Runtime Environments.
AOO 4.1.7 and LO 6.3.2.2 on Manjaro KDE
