Hi all,

since update from OO 4.0.1 to OO 4.1 it's not possible to use the Thunderbird Address Database option. Get only the following error message when I try it :
SQL-Status: HY000

The connection to the external data source can not be established. It wasn't found a SDBC driver for the given URL.
My systems used :

- Windows 7 Prof. 64-bit or Windows 7 Prof. 32-bit german versions (tries with both)
- JRE 1.7.0.51 32-bit or JRE 1.6.0.45 32-bit (tries with both)
- Thunderbird 24.6.0 german version

The above-mentioned Error message do not change in any experimental configuration. What I also tried is to use Odb's which I created for accessing the TB address book before the transition to OO 4.1. Result is the same ......

Does anybody have the same experience or better yet a solution for this problem ?

Yup, they removed support for all types of address databases - Mozilla, LDAP, Thunderbird, Windows, etc. See the 4.1.0 release notes, under "improvements".

Unbelievable. Solution: revert to 4.0.

It looks like Libreoffice still has this capability.

Yes. They have re-written the Mozilla interface and left the interface to Windows as is while they get around to re-coding that. Just downloaded 4.2.6.2 and all is well. :D :D
