I just installed the german (my motherlanguage) version of Open Office.
But I also want to write documents in korean, as I assume by other topics is possible, but unfortunately I have no idea were to find the devices to do so.
Could someone please help me?!

Please read the Survival Guide for the forum. What OS? What OOo version? ...

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought it is visible in my Username-description...
My OS is Windows XP, and I installed the 2.4.X version.
I already checked the post "Where can I find language packs for OpenOffice.org", but the link for the korean pack for windows didn't work...

 My fault, sorry! This feature has been implemented today and I was not aware of it yet!!!

See that other link: Change language for user interface (menus & help files). If the locale for Korea is 'ko', then check the mirrors, I've seen both the whole OOo package or the language packs available for 2.4.

BTW: your title is not so clear, you're looking for the Korean user interface, right?

The interface (or GUI for Graphical User Interface) is the layout used to access menus and all the features. But re-reading your posts, I think that you want ot spell check in Korean, right? If so, you just have to install the Korean dictionary.

Latest version is 3.1.1 now. Dictionary installation is much more easy now: [Troubleshooting] Spell check in OOo 3.x.

She may also need to switch type direction - Can't remember if Korean is L to R or R to L.

Modern Korean is written left to right (older Korean used to use Chinese characters).

Haven't you searched the extensions page? Try that one: Korean spellchecker. See the tutorial again for the installation steps.

You will need to switch your keyboard. See:

http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/inte ... orean.html

with its link to:

http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/inte ... l#eastasia

In OpenOffice go to Tools>Options...>Language Settings>Languages and enable for Asian languages. Select Korean as your default Asian language.
