Can't open any documents

Hi I can't open any of my documents. When I start Open Office sometimes it opens a page and then freezes or a black page comes up and a 'not responding' message appears.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.

Can you help?

Try this:
Ctrl Shift Esc to start TaskManager. Now kill any soffice processes showing on the Processes tab. All should now be well.

Did you have a program or system crash?

Hi, Itried that (ctrl shift esc) after reading a previous post and it hasn't changed anthing. I'll try it again.

I think it was a program crash.

If that doesn't work, Delete or rename your User Profile
[Tutorial] The OpenOffice User Profile

If that doesn't work, remove OpenOffice using (say) RevoUninstaller at its most aggressive, and reinstall OpenOffice.
