I have found that Openoffice won't start particularly after I have been opening and closing several files. I found that by looking in Task Manager, in processes, that there many instances running of soffice.bin*32 and soffice.exe*32, perhaps as many as eight. I found that by killing all of these that Openoffice will start. I am running 64 bit Vista Home edition.
Can anyone suggest what's going on and how this behaviour can be curbed.

Re: Openoffice starting
Indeed, there are several topics about that, see that one for example: OOo hangs with multiple soffice.exe in Task Manager. It was under 3.2 so I was hoping it would be better with 3.3. you're the first one to report it under 3.3 I think. I haven't experienced that yet with 3.3. Nothing to do I guess. Perhaps switch the Quickstarter off if activated.
