cant access config data. Error GetStorage

Issues with installing under all versions of MS Windows

cant access config data. Error GetStorage

Postby chaztwo » Wed Jan 16, 2008 2:41 am

OpenOffice.org cannot be started due to an error in accessing the OpenOffice.org configuration data.

The following internal error has occurred: GetStorage, name: “No Content!

This errot pops up at laptop bootup. I cannot access any part of Open Office - which I've been using (Write only) for several years, also on my desktop.

Shall I just try to re-install?

Hi Charly,

to help you we need to know some details:

  • Which version of OpenOffice due you use?
  • Which operating does your laptop work with?
  • Did you do any changes to the system before the error occurred?

Reinstalling could be worth a try in any case.

Completely shut down OOo including the Quickstarter then rename the Common.xcu file in the user profile folder.

How do I fix the internal error, Get Storage: No Content?

I am using the 1.1.4 version on a Windows XP OS. Yes, I should upgrade it but I use dial up and have not taken the time to order a CD.
Anyhow, I got the error message the original poster got after uninstalling RealPlayer.
Where do I find the Common.xcu file after I shut down Open Office? Is there a specific name that it should be renamed to or will anything do?
Thanks

See the link above.
AOO 4.1.7 on Xubuntu 19.10 and 4.1.5 on Windows 10 (with winPenPack port).
