JRE installed. Still receiving error "requires JRE to run"
I have installed AOO on 2 computers for my students. I have installed the 32 bit JRE on both computers. We are creating databases. Computer 1 is working fine after installing the JRE. Computer 2 is still giving me the error message "OpenOffice requires a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to perform this task. Please install a JRE and restart OpenOffice." I have also downloaded the 64 bit JRE on Computer 2 to see if that would help, but it has not. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: JRE installed. Still receiving error "requires JRE to ru
The Release Notes for 4.1.11 include a section of Known Issues - For Windows Users that says
Apache OpenOffice supports Java 8 (32-bit), which is the recommended configuration; but (especially on 64-bit Windows) you might receive warnings about the Java version being defective. In that case, download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019.

Try installing that.
