Hi Guys
I use W10 and have used OO 4.1.9 for a while but for some reason, when trying to update to 4.1.10, I have messed up.
I have saved spreadsheets that open as "mumbo jumbo" so I uninstalled OO using my RevoUNinstaller but
when I downloaded the updated version, after going through the usual installation, I am told to close the OO Quickstarter which
apparently should be in my System tray but I cannot find it.
Am in a right mess.

Hi and welcome to the forum,
It is a blue orb with white gulls, like the logo top left of the forum pages.

Re: Cannot, repeat Cannot install OO correctly
Open the task Manager - Ctrl + Shift + Escape - and switch to the Applications tab. Terminate any soffice processes, then without rebooting, try the installation again.
Cheers

Hi
Thanks for reply, not sure what you mean, I know the icon but problem not solved.
I am attaching a short spreadsheet that was saved as OO and now the file extension shows as Wordpad and the content shows as "mumbo jumbo" as I call it

It has to be smaller than 128Kb. Else, use a 3rd party site for file sharing.
Have you managed to upgrade to 4.1.10 in the end?
