[Solved] All documents locked for editing by unknown user

Since installing 4.1.10 every time I try to open a document (writer, calc, etc.) of any type I get the message that the document is locked by an un known user. I have to open a copy, delete the original document, then save it with the same name. Then after I close that document and try to open it again it still says it's locked by an unknown user. How do I prevent this?

Else, it may be the Windows Defender settings or your anti-virus ransomware. You need to allow AOO to access the files.

I have hidden files turned on and I see no lock files. As for Defender, I don't know what AOO is or what to look for there.

It's not every file, only some of them. All of them are in a Google Drive folder.

I also tried resetting my user profile by renaming the OpenOffice/4/user folder to user.old and then starting OpenOffice. No luck, same thing. I get file locked by unknown user.

I don't know what AOO is

AOO -> Apache OpenOffice.

Check your anti-virus and and anti-ransomware software settings. One of them may have put the new version of AOO on their "block" list.

LO = LibreOffice.

Do you confirm that a document outside the Google drive folder opens fine but not those in the Google drive?
There may be a setting on that folder.

That did it. My AVG had AOO marked as blocked. I removed it from the list and everything works fine now. Thank you.
