Bought laptop in France; all words shown as misspelled

Post by bkwashington »

Hi:
Thank you for your help.
I bought this laptop in France and everything works pretty well except the spell check feature. Although I have specified my language the sdpell check wants to correct every word. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you,

Welcome to the Forums.
You should check your document to ensure that it is using the same language as you have specified. Unless you created the file yourself, there's a possibility that a different language was encoded into the file, thus spellcheck isn't finding those words in your configuration.
Alternatively a common problem that generates this type of response is a corrupt user profile.
You can find help in resetting the profile here.
