[Solved] Load AOO at startup checkbox doesn't stay
[Solved] Load AOO at startup checkbox doesn't stay
Hey Guys! Win7 x64 pc here. I realize (I think) how to make Oo open on a startup but one slight problem.
When I go to the usual > tools, options, memory I do get this: [ ] load open office during system startup. In the past, I check-marked that box and it worked based on my current recollections.
But now when I checkmark that box, the checkmark never stays in place. So Oo never opens on startup with the little Oo icon in the notification area.
Did not see a save function, so I am at a loss right now.
Any Ideas? All help appreciated! Jim

Clicking the OK button should invoke the save function. Using the X button on the dialog will cancel the save function.JamesEJ wrote:Did not see a save function, so I am at a loss right now.

Re: LOAD Oo CHECKBOX DURING SYSTEM STARTUP CHECK DISAPPEARS
Shutdown OpenOffice and then open any folder. In the address bar near the top enter
%appdata%\openoffice\4\
That should take you to a folder containing a folder called user. Rename that to user_old and restart OpenOffice. You should get the registration screen

Re: Load AOO at startup checkbox doesn't stay
Seems "Maybe" it's solved. Played with Glary Utilities startup MGR, and quickstarter showed up in the notifications bar again. YAY! YAY! Disappeared couple times but came back as of now. Will see and mark solved if it did. New post if it did not. Thanks very much guys. Jim
