Database example by @chrisb

II refer to this post:

Ciao chrisb,
for some years I have been dealing with Base with embedded HSQL and I have a little experience.
On the Italian Forum of OO, where I am an administrator, I often provide assistance also for Base.
My experience leads me to recommend LO in comparison to OO for its greater stability. OO often crashes working in edit mode on Form settings. This happens on my s.o. macOS which I use almost exclusively. For me it is not possible to use Report Builder in OO.
So I can't share this :D :

I like to experience the work that others publish and I have followed your example with pleasure.
I opened your database with LO, but I didn't have these problems:

It works perfectly with LO as with OO.
Thanks for the attention :D

Excellent. One thing: f3.TripViewer.fFilterTrip.sTripLog.Navigation_Bar1 should be wider. At current size it is not possible to navigate this subform.
Please, edit this topic's initial post and add "[Solved]" to the subject line if your problem has been solved.

To me it seems sufficient both in OO and in LO in macOS. Can it depend on your o.s.?

Yes, might be an issue with the desktop environment. My font is larger.

if you scroll down to comment 6 which was made by Chris (this is not me) then you will see that it is not specific to windows. i'm pleased to hear that your system is not affected.
having looked through the release notes of libreoffice it's clear the the Base component has received little or no attention for quite some time.
long outstanding bugs have been ignored while the focus has been strictly fixed on the integration of Firebird embedded.

@Villeroy
the appearance of a form may vary depending on the operating system used. thank you for that @charlie.it
i booted on a linux system & the navigation bar is cut short. table controls are also impacted.
i suspect all controls are affected but some are just more obvious than others.

I see it for the first time and I checked it in W10 (in my virtual machine).
In macOS environment, instead, all Forms always open in the same size (the one used last time) both with LO and OO!
But I never considered it a problem.
