Java Runtime Environment

Post by jimegrossman »

Trying to use the Base program but I cant create one because it says I need to download a Java Runtime Environment (JRE)

I did this, but cant seem to get it to work

https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java ... 33155.html

I downloaded the JRE's from the above and can't get it to work.

Any ideas?

You need the 32 bit Java (flagged x86). Once installed, select it in /Tools /Options /OpenOffice /Java and probably restart your computer.
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.15 on Xubuntu 22.04.4 LTS
