Since your post in is the Base forum I assume you have a table on a Base form of a database.
On the main Base screen select Forms
Right click on the name of the Form that contains your table and select Edit to open the form document in the Design mode.
Right click somewhere on the table and select Control to open the Properties: Table Control dialog.
On the General tab scroll down and select the ellipsis to the right of Fonts to open the Character dialog.
On the Font Effects page you can select a Font color.
Back on the General tab of the Properties: Table Control dialog, a couple of rows below Font is the Background color property.
Select the down arrow to the right of Background color where you can select a color from a list of predefined colors, or select the ellipsis to create a custom color for the background.
If your problem has been solved, please edit this topic's initial post and add "[Solved]" to the beginning of the subject line
