[Solved] How To Email Mailmerge using mailmerge.py

Postby dreamquartz » Sun Jan 21, 2018 8:19 pm

Hi All,

I came across a document called: "How To Email Mailmerge using mailmerge.py", from OpenOffice.org with the following specs:
[0.3]
First edition: [2006-01-18]
First English edition: [2006-01-18]

Feedback to: "grsingleton@openoffice.org".

I would like to see the actual Python code that was used back then.

Does anyone know what happened to the development of this Mailmerge?

I would like to see a platform independent option for Mailmerge, similar to the one used in FireFox, as an extension to OO and LO.

Dream

Note: file to big for attachment.

A version of mailmerge.py is at usuarios.cnba.uba.ar/gabinetes/program/mailmerge.py As it is a re4xt file, it should open in any text editor.
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5 on Xubuntu 18.04 (mostly 64 bit version) and infrequently on Win2K/XP

usuarios.cnba.uba.ar/gabinetes/program/mailmerge.py is the same file that is shipped with the office suite in the program folder.
