An inquisitive question regarding 'objects'

Post by tjsilver »

Hello!

I'm very slowly shedding Access and getting to know Base.

I just wondered how Base stores images. When I look at a table that has a 'picture field' (sorry, don't know correct terminology) all I see is <OBJECT>. Is the image stored within Base? If I move the original image to another folder is it then 'lost' to Base?

Not important - just wondered.

You may find the LibreOffice Base Handbook more comprehensive than the Apache OpenOffice equivalent documentation at AOO Manuals.

See the Writer Guide, the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials and Writer for students.

Remember: Always save your Writer files as .odt files. - see here for the many reasons why.
