[Solved] Labels Problem

Post by computerbuff »

Untitled.png
Hi,

I have a database with names and address, but trying to create a label list from the base is causing a problem. Something's preventing me, as when I select the label box (screenshot attached) I can't remove 'Bibliography' from the database drop-down menu, thus preventing me from entering any other information.

Any help in this irritating problem will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks :super:

Greetings and welcome to the community forum!

You have to register your database so that OO knows how to access it (and what its name is so it can appear in that drop-down).

File > New > Database > Connect to an existing database > ...

This registers the database and stores the settings and information used to access it in a new "database", a file named something.odb

Many thanks for your assistance acknak, very much appreciated! My database was easy to set up, as I have used this method before. In the days of 'Microsoft Works', it was simplicity itself.
