Hi
When I go to save my Database to another name eg ver1.6 I get a something Fatal Error without any message. then Base stops responding.
The only way I can seem to get around is to copy the file eg 1.5 and save as a 1.5copy via Explorer. However I then lose my Java installation on both files.
Help please.

Before saving the document under another name you should close the database. Tools>Sql... SHUTDOWN [Execute]
Do NOT use the embedded HSQLDB.
Use Base with an external stand-alone HSQLDB.

FreeHSQLDB v.0.3 provides a little GUI to connect a Base document with a stand-alone HSQLDB.
