Hours/Date Scheduling

Post by aacbuk »

Hi, Im new to Base and though simple databases are within my capacity the following is causing me a problem:

I wish to write a database with a load of mechanical and electrical equipment. Each item has service schedules based on hours operated/time operated or other defined inspection periods.

I need to be able to make the database so that I am able to enter each items running hours on a weekly basis, and should the hours trigger a service interval for the database to forward me to a worksheet for that particular service:

i.e. Generator = 503hrs - This would trigger a command to send a worksheet to carry out a 500hour service.

However it becomes a little more complicated because at certain intervals i.e. 1000hrs you may do a 1000hr service and a 500hr service. Or a 2000hr service may include a 1000hr and a 500hr.

Anyone able to help?

Thanks
