[Solved] Making address labels
With an odb open, doing File> New> Labels gets me a dialogue box, but it's fields, Database and Table, do not connect to my database, only to Bibliography and biblio; which items I do not have!

You can close the database document.
Tools>Options>Base>Databases
Add your database document to the list of registered databases.
Now your labels and serial letters can refer to DatabaseName.TableName.FieldName
